As rumored Apple released an update to the 13-Inch MacBook Pro. In November 2019 Apple released the 16 Inch MacBook Pro where they went back to the scissor keyboard design. Updated speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. Better performance with less thermal throttling, better cooling, and a bigger screen that still almost fits the same chassis like the previous model. People speculated in Apple making the same treatment to the 13 Inch MacBook Pro as they did to the 16 Inch. But that was not the case this time. The 14-Inch MacBook Pro will have to wait it seems.
The notebooks come with 10th-generation Intel processors and have 16GB 3733MHz memory on some configurations.
The cheapest, base model still use 8th-generation Intel CPUS.
Not surprising, Apple changed the keyboard back to the Magic Keyboard they used on earlier models. It has also added an physcial escape key next to the touch bar.

If you can live with less, storage there are other more sensible upgrade options. Storage can always be added externally or in the cloud nowadays. Except you really need the blazing transfer speeds SSDs can give you.

This is the standard cheapest configuration pirced at $1,299. Please note that you get the 8th‑generation Intel on this model. The minimum storage you now get is 256GB and memory is at 8GB. Of course, as you saw above it is possible to configure the computer with better components. If you do that, you have to dig deeper in your bank account.
